O.K, so I was perusing around and found some interesting stuff. I've been wanting to do another group break here for awhile now, but didn't have any ideas on how to make it fresh, unique, my own like I did with the last one (which was free).
I came up with an idea that I thought would be fun (top secret for now) and it would also bear a sort of inner "contest" which would reward the winner with their team payment being reimbursed in full.
I wanted to bounce some box ides off you guys and see if:
1- you'd be interested at all
2- you'd be interested in any of these boxes at these prices.
I plan on keeping this very cheap and while looking at the prices for a few things and doing the math in my head I think these are plausible numbers, although I could be horribly wrong. Also, I wanted to get 2 boxes of the same product, to help with my little "contest" idea as well as putting better overall production odds in our favor. This is what I was looking at so far...
Option #1- (2) 2009 Upper Deck Series 1
(1) 2009 A Piece of History
~$10 a team
Option #2- (2) 2009 Topps Unique
~ $12 a team
Option #3- (2) SP Legendary Cuts (year undecided)
~$15 a team
So those are what I liked after a little searching. I'm sure I could find other boxes that would be nice and also go a little deeper into the math and see what it would be for sure per team, but it shouldn't be too much. Let me know if any of those sound good, which you would like the best and/or if you have any other box ideas. None of this is set in stone yet, like I said just bouncing some ideas off the wall right now.

Depending on my financial position when you do the break I would be interested in the Unique for the Rays and the Legendary Cuts for the Pirates... I have jumped on a couple of group slots for LC and got nothing, but just knowing there is a chance at a Roberto Clemente auto for 12 bucks is pretty neat...
ReplyDeleteI'm with the Troll on this one either of the two he picked! I want the Yannkee tho...(evil laugh)
ReplyDeleteUnique is nice because of all the serial numbered cards.
ReplyDeleteI agree, unique would be the most intriguing to me out of those options. I'd take any one of the following teams: Braves, Reds, Rockies, or Phillies if you did that break. I know those are strange picks for a Mets fan, but still.
ReplyDeleteThe only other thing I would suggest is Obak, since it is a strange but cool product.
