Mail Time!!! I Wonder Who It's From...

I'm still way behind on trade posts and I'm about to get even further behind. So to help alleviate some of the swelling, I'll be doing another 2fer today. But please, for the love of all that is sacred, don't stop sending me trades. Let's begin...

First up we've got some goodness from Community Gum. I recently discovered his page and the latest post happened to be a break of 2005 Leaf he did. I'm always intrigued by box break so I took a look* and he had a Mike Piazza hot box! I left a comment and a couple emails later we worked out the goods.

*2 points for rhyming.

The Alternate Threads and Picture Perfect inserts are found 1:18 and 1:20 respectively, so they're not ebay 1/1 rare, but uncommon enough where I don't have them and didn't plan on getting them as a throw-in in any trades. But most of all, I didn't have them.

These were actually just the opening acts for this trade though. Jon helped me move closer to Metropolitan Cardboard Domination (M.C.D for short) and included 3 team sets (1988 Fleer, 1990 Fleer, 1990 Score) and nice sized lots of '90 Donruss & Topps and '90 Upper Deck that came in one card short of the set. The card missing though, was not included on the team checklist which I've noticed alot about early UD stuff. Overall, a very VERY good trade and Jon, yours should be in the mail Saturday. Hopefully you'll like as much as I did mine.

Up next we have a trade with the middle child who is becoming a regular here on "Mail Time!!!". She sent over one of her world famous 130982908902826 card trades and I picked out 3 of my favorites.

I believe this is an '87 Donruss "Pop-Up". If not, then it's an '88. Anyways, your'e supposed to pop it out and up and there are a few tabs in the back that you're supposed to hook to each other and then yeah. I thought about doing it, but then began thinking about were the hell would I put it? I then decided against it and set up the necessary page in my 1980's Mets team sets binder. This thought process all transpired in about 2 seconds. Love it.

Another '80's "insert" set, 1986 Donruss "All-Star". It's a bit bigge than a regular sized card and for reference sake, I photographed it next to an A&G mini. Why a mini and not a standard sized card? Some say I'm not well...

I have this card about 10x over now, but it never gets old. This is just a great photo. One thing I've noticed in my humble Rey Ordonez collection is that 90%, if not more, of his cards are pictures of him fielding which makes for some great shots!

Thanks again to Jon and Shellie for the great cards and easy trades. You may now claim your puppy...
