"This trade was from way back in..."
or
"I'm so far behind in trade posts..."
And I thought to myself "How do you fall behind in trade posts? You get the cards, take pictures and post them."
To all that I have doubted, I'm terribly terribly sorry for having ever doubted you.
Most of the time I'm just way to excited to get everything set up in the binders that I get down to the last to cards and remember... shit, I gotta post this. So I'm a little behind and will do a 2 for1 to try and make some of this up.
First up we have a couple cards from GCRL. We've done a couple trades of epic proportions, about 200+ base cards each time. I love those trades as they usually take a chuck out of some team sets.

Keeping up with the code by providing some shine via 1999 Metal Universe. This was the year where M.U. really started to get tamed down. It still stands out from everything else by a long shot, but no enraged rhinoceroses chasing HOF 2nd baseman or catchers with eye lasers and whatnot.

Dear Fleer/Skybox,
Please apply for a Gov't grant or bailout or whatever it is that a company in your 10 year situation would do. Come on, all the cool kids are doing it...

I really like the design to the '09 Legendary Cuts. I really don't like the price tag to the '09 Legendary Cuts.
Next up we've got a surprise package from Cardboard Collections.

2004 Fleer Inscribed Piazza. I was interested in picking up a box of this a little while ago, but found out they still go for a decent amount. An autograph focused set, the base cards are very close to being really really nice, but they're missing something...

When I first saw the pics of the "Portraits" inserts, alot of poeple were saying they didn't like them. I thought they were kindda nice. Now I understand. They're very flat and blah looking. Oh well, no Wright card is a bad card!

Lastly we have 2 UDx inserts of Mr.Wright, and "X2" and "X3". Another new set a know very little about, is the X3 EXPONENTIALLY tougher to pull!?!?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
No seriously, I really don't know.
So that's that for that. Thanks again for the trades guys and hopefully we'll hook up for more! All that's left to do now is...

(...Joe)

You have awesome taste in base cards, that's all I can say.
ReplyDeleteOn the X2, X3, nope, they have the same odds. They also are bigger sets than the base set, which makes no sense. UDX is weird.
