TTM Success!!!

Well, kindda.

Actually, fuck it. It's a damn TTM!

I recently was involved in some intense negotiations with reader Teddy Dziuba for a Quentin By the Letters Auto off my "Trade Bait" page. He offered up a Piazza card #d/50 in exchange and I jumped on it!

I'm a fan of artificial scarcity and most of the "better" Piazza inserts I have are from the mid-late 90's, where pulling a card #d/5000 is the modern day equivalent of pulling a card #d/100, so a 50 is by far now the lowest # I have.


2005 Donruss Champions

The cards from this set are nice. Good clean feel, a little thicker card stock. The wasted space is a major fucking buzz kill, but how much can a guy complain? I looked at the different parallels and it shouldn't be too difficult to put together the rainbow for it, so I might keep that on my radar.

Now we get to the featured event.

The TTM or "Through the Mail Success" for any newcomers. Usually reserved for when a "Normie" sends a request to an athlete to sign something and return it back. Through the mail.

During our trade negotiations, I saw a 2010 Bowman Dillion Gee on Teddy's Photobucket and asked if he would mind throwing that in in addition to the Piazza. I saw a AA game on SNY awhile back where he pitched and he looked very impressive, so I've been mini pulling for him to make it. I got an email back saying that he was hoping to hold onto the Gee, since he played with him in the Minors.

I can totally respect that, so I told him don't worry, the Piazza alone is more than enough.

I got the package the other day and came with it a little note saying that he included a card of his favorite failed Mets prospect. "Ok, kindda weird, but whatever I thought."


Duh. His 'favorite failed Mets Prospect', is HIM!

Super cool, instantly became my favorite card in my collection. Thanks again dude! The card's sitting on my desk, right on top of the Autographed David Wright ball!
