I've had a shitty little weekend. Nothing really...bad, has actually happened, it's just been one of those days where nothing you do actually yields any results and just happened to have two of those days in a row now. So I figured what better time to test my luck with some packs right?
I've been buying packs of the new Pinnacle here and there as I've picked up some random singles at my local card shop. I like the design and it gave me just enough satisfaction to keep me from spending money I don't totally have on a whole box. When I walked in today, I saw they only had three packs left, all marked at 50% off! So I grabbed them all, like a fucking rat.
Pack One
Each pack's got 8 cards and at least one insert per pack. There are no stated odds on the packs and the internet isn't 100% either, but we'll deal with that when we need too.
I'm a sucker for black boarders. Sure they chip to hell but I like darker colors, they make me happy.
I've pulled at least one Yankee card in every pack that I've opened in the past 3 months, including 5 in one pack alone. You think that's funny Cardboard Gods?
At least it was offset by a Met immediately after. All of these cards are for trade, minus the Mets of course.
"Awaiting the Call" insert (1:6) nice, basic design without being boring. I really like alot of the cards out of this set. They feel like a throwback to the first couple years of Pinnacle but still maintain a modern feeling of being classy as fuck.
"The Hit King 'Artist Proof'" insert. This is a 5 card insert set of, you guessed it, Pete Rose. I couldn't find the odds for this set, let alone the Artist Proof parallel of it. Checking out ebay, these have sold for decent money, $10-$18, so I may throw this up there and see if I can get lucky!
Not a bad selection for $2.50. Hopefully the next two will be just as good!
