1964 Topps Coins Juan Marichal

Useless fact of the day:
Shakespeare wrote a total of 884,647 in all of his know works, combined. 31,534 different words and 14,376 are unique, only being used once.

He also invented the word "swagger".

I've been working on the 1964 Topps Coin set for about 5 years now. I go through streaks with all my collections, one month I'll be on a team set streak and work on those, the next month I'll want to work on my team sets, etc. Unfortunately, the '64 set got designated for assignment for a few years until I began working on it again within the past year and a half or so.

After selling the Lincecum/Cain card I decided to allocate all the money into the Coins set. I picked up the Marichal a few months ago, but never got around to posting it, so this isn't my first purchase with that money. Nope, I'm still waiting for it to actually be put into my account since I don't want to pay for a shipping label, so I have to wait 21 days.  Anyways, the Marichal brings me to needing only 5 more HOFers and total of 59 coins overall. I'm not expecting to finish off the set with the ebay loot but I should definitely be able to knock off the rest of the HOFers. Until then, I'll just tell myself that the empty pockets are filled with hope. And gummy bears. I really like gummy bears.

  1. Love the useless fact... and best of luck on the coin set. I've always been a fan of vintage oddball sets.
