Tradewinds Epic pt.1

Alyssa- "Looks like that's about as straight as it's gonna get."

Back in January I posted a Harmon Killebrew auto along with a few other cards to see if I could spark some trades. Of course, where there are high end baseball cards, Wicked Ortega is there. I sent him 3 cards. 3. Granted, they were 3 very good cards, but still. I received so much Mets goodness that I need to break this trade post up into 5 separate posts.

The Leadoff Pack
As I went through the package, it seemed like each "pack" had it's own collective theme. This was the first group of cards that I have dubbed the "Leadoff Pack".

This was the first card that I saw from the package. Happy to have a David Cone game used again, as I traded the only one I had in exchange for some Piazzas last year. This card would fall into what I like to call the "Night Owl Complex". You see, recently Night Owl posted a Clayton Kershaw dual auto card on the trade block due to the fact that the other guy on the card is a Yankee. This Cone pictures and lists him as a Met, but the jersey is from his Yankee days. Fuck you Upper Deck. Makin' me like, think and shit...


Still think it would've been great if he went into the HOF as a Met. Could have pissed off so many people.


I always see this card on everyone elses page, or on ebay or whatever, but never picked one up for myself. More from Nick Evans to come!
