3 More 1964 Topps Coins

So you may be wondering why I haven't posted in a week.

Wait, what's that? You didn't even notice? I haven't said a word in 7 seven days and you didn't miss me one bit? Well then fine. I'm not telling you where I've been. All I'm telling you is that it involves a midget, a donkey and a water cooler. Yeah. Now YOU feel left out. Too bad.

Last month I went nuts and came 20 coins closer to finishing off the set. I managed to knock off some of the big pieces I still needed, including these two which I'm sure will make Night Owl mad...
A little bit of Sandy Koufax action
And some Don Drysdale for good measure.

Both these coins are in incredible condition! I would say about EXMT-NRMT and the fact that I got them for what I did is a feat in itself. The Koufax for $10 and the Drysdale for $7. The great price on Donnie was attributed to the fact that the seller had a shitty picture, so I'm sure that kept some bidders at bay. The Koufax, however, I have no idea why that didn't attract more people. It was all there in the title description, the picture was fine and the seller had perfect feedback AND free shipping!!! Lucky day I guess.

Last for today, we have one that I did have to settle on. One prerequisite I had going into my shopping spree is that I wanted coins in fairly good condition. They didn't have to be mint, but I didn't want any fillers. For this next one though, I settled but I don't think I'll be able to do much better anyways...
2nd year Pete Rose! This has been a tough coin to even find on ebay for me, let alone one at a decent price. The paint on the edges is not good, but for $13 I went for it. I only have a few more big names to finish off and then I'm down to picking off the commons little by little. I still have a ways to go, but it's all beginning to come to together.
