It has been much too long since I have done anything around these parts. I have a decent reason though, I swear. You see, for the past 2 months I've been in talks with and have since received a job offer from the Washington Humane Society down in D.C.! My girlfriend and I have been preparing and getting ready to make the move down there and the only thing that's left to do is find an apartment, which is much, MUCH easier said than done. For you see, it's not only going to be the two of us moving in. Shea is coming as well
as is my girlfriends dog Seal.
So here's the tricky part, we have to:
1- find a place we can afford
2- find a place that we can afford that allows dogs
3- find a place that we can afford that will allow two dogs
4- find a place that we can afford that will allow two dogs that doesn't have size restrictions (Shea is 110 lbs)
5- find a place that we can afford that will allow two dogs that doesn't have size restrictions and doesn't have breed restrictions (Seal is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Essentially, a fancy way of saying Pit Bull)
Soooo yeah. Alot of my time, effort and money have been going towards that lately and most likely will continue for a bit. All of my cards will be coming down with us and hopefully I'll be able to get back on track with collecting soon!

Does Seal have any obedience training? Certificates? Canine Good Citizen?? might help as a reference for her/him... You may also look into renting a house or townhouse...

I'm a certified dog trainer, own my own training business (that's why there's always a Joe's Dog Training lable on all my trade packages :^D) and am being hired as a trainer at the Humane Society. She doesn't have any certificates though. I've been wanting to get both our guys CGC certified but just haven't gotten to doing it yet.
DeleteUnfortunately, most of the issues come from the fact that it's the insurance companies that have the breed restrictions, so our best bet is to find a private renter and have them meet the dogs.
