Thought of the Day:
What if every mirror was a portal to an alternate mirror universe and the only thing keeping you from entering the mirror-verse was your mirror self you kept blocking you every time you tried to step through.
I made some pretty good additions to my Piazza collection this past month which I'll begin to show off in the coming days. The last of which was a small, 20 card lot. I've said it before and I'll say it again (if you think you're alive then better off dead! Anyone get that reference? No? Well, if you do then we should be friends :^D) one thing I love about the Piazza collection is that there are an endless amount of cards to obtain and there's no way I'll ever even come close to getting them all which means I'll always be able to easily find new cards of his to add. Unfortunately, I do have so many now, that it becomes difficult to find lots of his cards that are really worth spending the money on for me.
I was able to find this lot which gave me 10 new cards into the collection. A 50% success rate is actually pretty good for a random ebay lot right now. I didn't net anything spectacular, but at about $0.50 a new card it was a good buy in my book!
No Fleer Ultra insert is a bad insert! I love looking through each year's Ultra set and collecting the inserts to try and piece together the Piazza master set. There's always the common 1:4 inserts to the 1:288+ and everywhere in between, and they all look great. So far, I've only been able to complete the '94 master set but I should be close on a few others.
This card was the clincher for me though. Yes, I am still trying to finish off the 2007 Turkey Red set despite several failed attempts to convince myself to give it up. I already had this card in the Piazza collection, but needed it for the set, so I can finally cross this off the checklist. I still need 13 cards, all SPs, so I think I'm still a long way from finishing this off especially considering this has fallen way to the back of my priority list. Oh well, this is one reason why I don't do sets.
