Tradewinds: "Plain Grey Swatch" & "O No"

Fact of the Day:
There is a specific area of the brain known as the bilateral vomitation center. It notes when our stomach is upset and queasy, and it makes the final decision whether to barf or not.

I had been in a lull for a couple of months in terms of trading. I wasn't really buying any new cards and I didn't have the time to look through want lists and to try and set up trades myself. I finally found a rhythm within the chaos and began seeking out those want lists, reorganizing a few binders and updating my trade bait pages.

After the Triple Crown post, my first real post in about 2 months, I received an email from Plain Grey Swatch. He said that he had an '09 David Wright T206 mini #'d/99 and asked if I'd be interested in it. I couldn't scramble to blog to see what he collects fast enough! We hammered out the details and completed our first trade:

Aslo included was a super shiny Piazza, new to the collection

And a pitcher that Mets fans would really rather forget about

Unfortunately, Maine has alot of really nice cards that go for next to nothing. But he was just so awful that I can't pull myself to actually buy any of his cards. It just, feels dirty.

Next up is a trade with "O No!!! Another Orioles Blog". I was able to look through my reserves and come up with a team bag with of goodness for him. In return I was awarded with a nice assortment of Mets, my two favorites being...

A Matt Havery RC, also my first Update from this years set. Harvey became a "must see" for me after being called up. He was extremely fun to watch pitch and I'm really exciting to see him (hopefully) for a full season next year.

And a Rey Ordonez Refractor from '96 Bowman's Best! I always love getting Ordonez cards and this is a pretty sweet one.

Thanks again for the trades guys! Hopefully your cards served you just as well!

(...Joe)
